Why it works

Two taps is only enough if the app does the thinking

Anyone can put a save button on a form. What matters is what happens to the number afterwards, and that is a handful of rules running whether you are awake or not.

Three bottles at 2am are one feed, not three

A baby who takes 60 mL, dozes, takes 20, then finishes 30 has had one feed. Amami groups bottles that land within 45 minutes of each other into the session they really were, so the number you read at breakfast is a count of feeds and not a count of taps. It groups cautiously on purpose, leaving two feeds apart sooner than merging two that were separate, and you can split or join any of it by hand.

The bottle has a clock, and it does not restart

Pour 60 mL, the baby takes 40, and 20 are left. Those 20 are the next feed for an hour, or two if it is expressed milk, counted from the moment the milk was made ready and not from when you picked the bottle up again. Offer it at 02:40 and the clock still started at 02:00. When the time is up it tells you once, and then it stops bringing it up.

And the tap that does not get lost

A log made on a plane, in a lift or in a hospital basement is kept on the phone and sent the moment you are back. Each one carries its own id, so a sync that is interrupted and runs again cannot hand you the same feed twice.

Privacy

The most personal data there is, treated like it

Your household is walled off

Every household's records are separated from every other at the database level, and everything is encrypted on the way there.

We never ask for a photo

Not of your baby, not of you. There is no photo feature to leak, because there is no photo feature.

No ads, no data selling

The only thing measured is page counts and page speed, with cookieless analytics.

Yours to take or to burn

Export the lot to a spreadsheet, or delete your account and every record for good. Whenever you like.

The honest objections

The five reasons you are about to close this tab

Put plainly, and answered with what the app does rather than with what we hope you assume.

“I know myself. I will not keep it up.”

Then do not. There is no streak in this app — not a lapsed one, not a broken one, none. Miss a feed, miss a night, miss a fortnight: the charts draw what is there and nothing turns red at you. A day you skipped is a day you skipped, and if you want it later you can open that date and fill it in.

“My partner will never use it.”

Then use it alone; none of it needs two people. And if they come round, it is one link — send it, they open it, and they are in your household seeing the same day and the same logs. No second setup, no second copy of your babies, nothing for you to keep in sync.

“I cannot set one more thing up right now.”

There is nothing to set up. A new account already has a baby in it, so the first tile works before you have typed a name. The welcome questions — names, birthdays, how you are feeding — can every one of them be skipped, and asked again when you have a hand free. Nothing is installed from a store.

“What happens to my baby’s data?”

Your household’s records are separated from every other household inside the database itself, by its own row-level rules rather than by our code remembering to ask. We never request a photo. There are no ads and nothing is sold; the only measurement is cookieless page counts and page speed. And it is yours to leave with: export everything to a spreadsheet, or delete the account and every record for good.

“What if I get it wrong at 4am?”

It is written expecting you to. Type a 3,000 mL bottle and it pauses on save and asks you to look at that number again, instead of filing it. Reach for something that only happens with a baby awake and it asks whether the sleep still running should have ended. Every entry can be edited or deleted afterwards, and a correction only touches the field you changed.
